AFEA are very proud and honoured for the re-election of AFEA CEO Sissi Lignou to the IAPCO Council for another 2-year mandate 2023-2025 as a Council Officer. The re-election and new mandate are an important achievements and proof of our organization’s continuous commitment, support and contribution to the Global Meetings Industry and Community.

Giving back to the community around Congrès Square Haneda as part of our sustainability policy to “Support sustainable urban/town planning through facility management,” and offering employees an experiential workation.

For several years, AIM Italy has been supporting the ‘Food for Good’ programme, which transforms waste into a valuable resource. The programme, promoted by Federcongressi&eventi (national meeting industry association) in collaboration with the NGOs Banco Alimentare (food bank) and Equoevento, enabled our teams to recover surplus food from the major events (>100 participants) that they organised in Italy in 2022 and to deliver it to local charitable organisations (family homes, soup kitchens and refugee centres), thereby reducing the event’s environmental impact and supporting local communities. 

As March is the month of women, Expand (a member of ICOM group), organized the “International Women Summit” in its 4th edition to celebrate women's equity and discuss empowering women in technology and digital transformation through leadership development to achieve professional mentoring growth, develop communication capabilities, and exchange experiences.
