Live events and communications agency TFI Lodestar has appointed Gema Rodriguez as Managing Director, marking the company’s progression from its recent integration phase and in preparation to build on two years’ rapid development. Rodriguez, previously TFI Lodestar’s Group Account Director, played a key role in merging the company’s business functions and re-launching in 2021, and has since helped to lead the business through a period of strong growth, broadening its client base and increasing revenues.

The hugely successful 18th World Congress of Neurosurgery in Cape Town held from 4 to 8 December 2023 had stimulating presentations, incredible exhibitor demonstrations and valuable networking for nearly 2000 international neurosurgeons. With several high-profile speakers on the programme including the esteemed humanitarian and founder of Gift of the Givers Foundation Dr Imtiaz Sooliman as well as Grégoire Courtine and Jocelyne Bloch of the Defitech Center for Interventional Neurotherapies, named .NeuroRestore who discussed their implantable technologies that regulate neurological functions and can improve the quality of life of people with neuromotor impairments. Overall, the five-day programme saw more than 900 presentations presented to the delegation.

Marking an important educational milestone, the two-day scientific event "Laparoscopy is here to stay", held on October 19-20, 2023, was dedicated to promoting and understanding laparoscopic surgery for the urinary system. The symposium included live 3D surgeries and hands-on training stations, taking educational excellence to new heights. Innovation and new technologies were a central element of the training seminar, which recorded significant participation.

Science Lab IMAGINUS, the first science experience facility fully managed and planned by IAPCO member Congrès Inc. opened on October 7, 2023 in Tokyo. Using our knowledge and experience in administration of science museums, cultural and tourism facilities, we launched a unique science facility in a former elementary school in Tokyo, engaging in a public-private sector project. Congrès also obtained a Nutty Scientists® master franchise, a leading global children’s education program, that made its debut in Japan at IMAGINUS.
