A year ago, Triumph’s office was filled with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and anticipation for a new professional adventure. The announcement of the bid for the G7 Summit marked the beginning of an ambitious project and a shared vision. Triumph Italy, in partnership with Studio EGA Srl, assembled the team tasked with drafting the proposal and analysing the experiences of previous institutional events, thus laying the groundwork for the ultimate institutional event.

With the awarding of the contract for the organisation, design, setup and ‘turnkey’ management of the G7 Summit in Apulia, the work began in earnest from January to June 2024. It was six months of relentless dedication during which teams were formed. Nothing was left to chance: every detail was meticulously studied and every suggestion carefully considered.

The G7 Summit is the informal forum that brings together delegations from Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, the European Commission and the European Council. The 2024 edition, held in Puglia, represented not only an important diplomatic occasion but also a fusion of organisation and creativity, reflecting the rich culture and tradition of the Apulia territory that hosted it.

At Borgo Egnazia, alongside the eight main delegations, were the guest countries and international organisations, totaling twenty-eight presences that required significant security services. The locations of the Summit and the media centre, approximately 60 km apart, involved multiple stakeholders and various additional services. The supply chain, selected with high sustainability standards, contributed to creating an imposing and complex system.

Transforming all this into a success was only possible thanks to solid foundations. The financial solidity of the organising companies, capable of meeting the demands of an event of such magnitude, and the teamwork, increasingly vital, like an orchestra in a theatre, were crucial elements. Each member recognised their role and the importance of their work for the collective success. The value of teamwork allowed overcoming every complexity, turning it into a genuine success.

The olive tree, the symbol of this edition, represented Italy, Mediterranean culture, and especially the Apulian territory. As a centuries-old plant, it has witnessed the passage of time. The interpretation of this symbol was particularly significant: its dense and branching canopy represented the complexity and richness of the event, as well as the diversity and cohesion of the staff involved in the organisation. Just like the olive tree, which grows strong and resilient thanks to its deep roots and well-organised structure of its branches, the success of the G7 Summit was the result of harmonious and well-coordinated teamwork, where each member contributed fundamentally to achieving the common goals.
